单词 Ten Commandments, the
释义  the Ten CommandmentsˌTen Comˈmandments, the  according to the Old Testament of the Bible, the set of rules that God gave to Moses on Mount Sinai, in order to tell people how they should behave. They are supposed to have been written on two stone tablets (=flat pieces of stone) and they appear in the Christian, Jewish, and Islamic religions. The ten rules include ‘Thou shalt not kill’ and ‘Thou shalt not steal’.
