(2) The birds on its Abernethy reserve in Strathspey have been digging snow holes to shelter from severe weather.

(3) It is also seeking an expansion of pinewoods in the core areas of Deeside, Strathspey and the River Beauly catchment.

(4) Other stars of the show will be the ospreys of the Loch Garten Osprey Centre in Strathspey.

(5) Worst-affected have been Inverness-shire, the upper Findhorn valley and parts of Strathspey and Aberdeenshire.
