- 古今载籍之言,率有七种,一曰天分语,身为道铸,心是理成,自然而然,毫无所为,生知安行之圣人。二曰性分语,理所当然,职所当尽,务满分量,毙而后已,学知利行之圣人。三曰是非语,为善者为君子,为恶者为小人,以劝贤者。四曰利害语,“作善降之百祥,作不善降之百殃”,以策众人。五曰权变语,托词画策以应务。六曰威令语,五刑以防淫。七曰无奈语,五兵以禁乱。此语以外,皆乱道之谈也。学者之所务辨也。
- 古今载籍莫滥于今日,括之有九:有全书,有要书,有赘书；有经世之书,有益人之书,有无用之书；有病道之书,有杂道之书,有败俗之书。《十三经注疏》、《二十一史》,此谓全书。或撮其要领,或类其俊腴,如《四书》、《六经》集注、《通鉴》之类,此谓要书。当时务,中机宜,用之而物阜民安,功成事济,此谓经世之书。言虽近理,而掇拾陈言,不足以羽翼经史,是谓赘书。医技农卜,养生防患,劝善惩恶,是谓益人之书。无关于天下国
