UNMOVIC UNMOVIC /ˌju en ˌem əʊ ˌviː aɪ ˈsi/ a group started in 1999 by the United Nations, whose main job was to look for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and to check that Iraq did not get other weapons which the United Nations said it should not have. After not finding any such weapons, the UN decided not to continue UNMOVIC in 2007. The group’s full name was the United Nations Monitoring, Verification, and Inspection Commission.UNMOVIC |
