- 天地间万物都是阴阳两个共成底。其独得于阴者,见阳必避,蜗牛壁藓之类是也。其独得于阳者,见阴必枯,夏枯草之类是也。
- 天地间之祸人者,莫如多;令人易多者,莫如美。美味令人多食,美色令人多欲,美声令人多听,美物令人多贪,美官令人多求,美室令人多居,美田令人多置,美寝令人多逸,美言令人多入,美事令人多恋,美景令人多留,美趣令人多思,皆祸媒也。不美则不令人多,不多则不令人败。予有一室,题之曰“远美轩”,而扁其中曰“冷淡”。非不爱美,惧祸之及也。夫鱼见饵不见钩,虎见羊不见阱,猩猩见酒不见人,非不见也,迷于所美而不暇顾也。
