Lumley, Joanna Joanna LumleyLum·ley, Jo·an·na /ˈlʌmli dʒəʊˈænə/ (1946–) a British television and film actress, known for being beautiful and for her upper-class way of speaking. She appeared on television in The New Avengers in the 1970s, and as the character Patsy in Absolutely Fabulous in the 1990s. In 2008 she played an important part in the Gurkha Justice Campaign which successfully persuaded the government to allow Gurkhas to live in Britain if they had spent four or more years in the British Army before 1997.Lum·ley, Jo·an·naSyllable |
