INLA, the the INLAINLA, the /ˌaɪ en el ˈeɪ/ (the Irish National Liberation Army) the Irish National Liberation Army, an illegal paramilitary organization (=a group like an unofficial army) in Northern Ireland, which wants the two parts of Ireland to be united and uses violent methods to achieve its aims.
